I sent Jim a request to look at our mortgage rate as the news of the fed making changes was emerging. He advised me to wait and when the rates were favorable we would act. Turns out the rates changed within a month and within a month of that we refinanced to save over 1/2 a point on our new loan- close to $800. It was an easy process with nothing out of pocket and a modest bump in the principle which I got back by skipping a month of payments. We turned to Jim in desperation after a mortgage refinance we were working on through Wells Fargo fell through. We were 2 months in with a provisional approval when they suddenly asked for documents we could not provide. Jim was able to get our loan through in 1 week at a lower rate and with lower fee's.
